Who is Board Vault for?
Board Vault serves proven executives, sitting directors and aspiring NEDs — and the companies, PE houses and search partners recruiting them.
Is membership really free for directors?
Yes. Discreet Vault profiles, AI matching, opportunity access and our insights library are free forever. Director Plus adds priority shortlisting and concierge services.
How does confidentiality work?
Your profile is never shared without your explicit permission. Companies see anonymised match summaries first; introductions only proceed once you approve.
What sectors and geographies do you cover?
We recruit across FTSE, private equity portfolios, VC-backed scale-ups, family offices and not-for-profits — primarily in the UK, EMEA and North America.
How are companies charged?
Companies pay a retained search fee based on the seat, sector and urgency. There are no listing, per-view or per-shortlist charges.
Can I refer a candidate or a role?
Yes. Board Vault operates a referral earnings programme for members introducing candidates or opportunities that lead to a placement.
What is the Board Readiness Score?
A composite indicator of experience depth, governance exposure, sector fit and profile completeness — used to help you focus and to prioritise briefs.
Do you support first-time NEDs?
Yes. Our Board Readiness Programme provides coaching, credentialing and mentored introductions for executives building their first portfolio.
